Casey Blair, also known as “Hott Doc” realized his passion for media while working for his grandfather’s (William Blair Jr / founder of Elite News) newspaper while growing up. His grandfather, world famed negro league baseball player, started his newspaper as a voice for the local African American community surrounding topics such as sports and politics. Seeing a need to provide a voice for local entertainment, Casey Blair founded Shotz Magazine in 2009. Shotz Magazine is a Dallas, TX based urban magazine that caters to rising artists, models, car clubs, black owned businesses, etc. Although Shotz Magazine has reached many city markets since it's inception, its focus is still to provide local talent with deserved recognition.
